The End Of Another Year

Hello blog. Miss you :)

I felt like I just entered 2016 few months back and today we are approaching the end of this great year. There were a lot of new experiences and new things I've learnt throughout the year and I couldn't thank God any less for His never ending blessings. Alhamdulillah.

I pretty enjoyed my 2016 since I've managed to tick a lot of things from my bucket list (including study abroad, drove car out from KL, save half of my allowance and not using it at all #proud).  

Just to make a short update of what I did last 2 weeks:

1) Trip to library

I'm not a library person, therefore, me going to library is definitely something that I should brag. Hahaha! I love how they modify UNITEN's library. It is super condusive and good for people who prefer to do study group / discussion (at their 24 hour study area). 

2) Islamic 3 CSR Project - Feed The Homeless

I never thought that there were so many homeless scattered around KL in midnight. I repeat, A LOT! When we reached the targeted area, some of them were running to us asking for foods and drinks. I was a bit anxious at first, but Alhamdulillah, we're safe and everything went so well! I even drove back to Ampang from UNITEN at 1AM (hahahaha)!

I guess I ended my year with good and productive stuffs and I'm so happy! Thank you to those who brought 1001 happiness to my life for this whole year! I appreciate your kindness, you sincerity and everything!

May Allah SWT bless you and hope we're going to be even better next year. In shaa Allah.

Still got that Raya vibes

This post is long overdue, so I decided to take this short few minutes to write up about this.

I still got that Raya vibes, thanks to all the open houses! (wish I could get my own house soon and give people free food too one day, In shaa Allah) And I couldn't help but to blame this semester's timetable for making a long list of exams and tests right after Raya, like "hey, I'm not in my right mind yet dude!" So don't expect a damn good marks for now, just focus on what is coming next. (Trying to be positive, yeah!)

Last week, I attended YTN's Open House at Dewan Seri Sarjana, UNITEN. It is an annual event and I never miss the event so far. (Like, who doesn't want free good foods right? Hahaha) I always love the feeling of being loved by my sponsor. I don't know it's just a feeling that makes me so happy to be able to get this scholarship and be one the member of this family. You know, when everyone remembers you well when you're not that good enough (yet) to be remembered. I just feel appreciated and I love this feeling. Hehe.

Last week (too), we had a short catch up session with Aalia and Qila who came all the way to our place for a short conversation. And as usual, we can laugh over small small things. We are just "mudah terhibur" species, can't help!

So my paper on Friday was ugh and I just hope I'm going to get something better than what I expect. Amin. I was so relax back in Germany and now is like a hectic life and I always live in rush and hurry and this kind of feeling is so not cool. But, we're actually running out of time (ifykwim so better start repent and seek forgiveness. *a note to myself too*)

YTN CSR Project Plan 'Bee'

My group mates and I visited Pusat Jagaan Al Fikrah in Kajang for our YTN CSR Project. The project was started since I was in Germany and I just manage to sit down and help them (not that much but somehow it was still tiring) yesterday. I started my day off by sending my little brother to school (kids nowadays and their extra classes) and drove all the way from Ampang to Kajang. Luckily, the traffic was bearable. We gathered at Pusat Jagaan Al Fikrah around 9.00AM, doing our last minute preparation before the event starts. 

Our project was to build "sarang lebah kelulut" (wondering what kelulut in English omg). Most of the work was done by the boys, so what I did was basically helping them to buy stuffs and be MC for today (and my MC-ing skill was ugh)

I was so glad to see our pengarah and his wife coming all the way to this place to support our programme. Not to forget, representatives from YTN - Abang Hassim and Encik Nasir.

It's sad how we only realise how blessed we are after we met people who have much less than we do. Not just less in wealth, but less in health and some of them less in physical. Most important - less love from their kids

Always remember to thank Allah for what He has given to you. We have our family who constantly love us. Make sure you pay back what they did for you in future. Always love them to max cause they do love you to max too. Besides that, always be thankful that we have working body parts and internals that function normally, so please stop obsessing over our insecurities about our weight and our features. Spending time with these adults opened my eyes to see how grateful we should be for everything and how so many people need our help, kindness and love.

It's good that when disaster happens in another country, we all come rushing to help, but never forget that there are still tons of people in our own country that could really use our help too. I wish I had the power to give them all that they need. (perhaps one fine day, in shaa Allah)  I listened to one of the caretakers of the house talking about the adults. Most of them had no family anymore, some of them were abandoned by their own kids, some were left there at the house. Sigh. It breaks my heart. I pray Allah gives them the best in the hereafter, if it's not in the world.

We went home right after doing some final touch up and definitely going to visit this place again anytime soon.

German breakfast and Mini Farewell

Well hello everyone!
This week has got to be the busiest week I've had in a while. I've been spending the whole week (except Friday) settling everything before flying back to my country. To be honest, part of me is super happy about going back - while imagining Nasi Lemak, Mee Kari, Roti Canai and etc. And part of me is a little bit sad to leave this lovely country. 
So, today we spent almost whole day at Mr Uwe and Frau Renates' place. Their house was fantastic. It reminds me to those houses I saw in typical English movies and dramas. They served us with traditional German breakfast. I had croissant, bun, cheese and medium-boiled egg. An not to forget - coffee (my fav)! Then, they showed us every corner of their house. What excites me the most was their automatic central heating system. It was fantastic!
We even had our chit - chatting sesh basically talking about what we love about Germany, about our study, about how to improve the programme and etc. (surely will tell you guys my experience and thoughts later)
